Read Across America week is almost here. Do you have any plans for your lessons about this?
I came across this wonderful idea from Naomi O’Brien (@readlikearockstarteaching). She created her own list and picked a focus for each day. You can check her post here.
I wanted to adapt this idea a little bit for my classes. Each day we will have a theme. I tried to find books mostly from Latina authors and books that allow all my students to feel represented. I hope you find this book selection useful for your lessons this week.
Here is our weekly plan:

Here is a break down of each day and the books planned on each theme:

Monday: A day for important and remarkable biographies.
