The draft of my second bilingual book has been sitting on my bookshelf for 3 months. I am going to be honest, fear is holding me back! But, I am ready to let go!There is little representation for Latinx/Hispanic and bilingual children on books and media, we need more books to lift our voices and tell our stories, no doubt about that!.With this being said…Pre sale for my second bilingual book is OPEN! My second book “Emily en Tennessee and Emilia in Guayaquil” is a bilingual story about two cousins in two countries. Soon, they will find out they share not only the same name, but multiple traditions too.Just like my first bilingual book, this story was created after I saw a need. I wanted to find a book about traditions and the cultural heritage from my hometown, Guayaquil.Most of the books I found about weather and seasons didn’t tell the story of other cities, with their own weather and seasonal activities. I wanted to capture the contrast between the city where I was born and raised, and the state that has been my home in these past years in the United States.I am going to be honest and tell you that I am hoping to have at least 50 book pre sold before its launch in March 2023…ok 25 will still do but 50 is my goal! A veces la vida te regala una amiga…pero si tienes suerte te regala una Emily ❤️.En mi primer trabajo en Estados Unidos…mis primeros dos meses me hicieron llorar. Hasta que dos meses después llegó @emilymbreen . Emily era mi compañera pero tambien mi amiga, siempre me ayudaba a revisar emails en los que dudaba si mi redaccion era correcta. Aaah y como olvidar que me enseñó a pronunciar “fucshia” en ingles (porque yo decía “fu-c-si-ah” y sin darme cuenta sonaba como otra cosa 😂😂😂.Emily me demostró lo imprescindible que es contar con amistades de verdad, aquellas con las que quizas no hables todos los días, pero cuando te reunes es como si los años no pasan.Mi amiga es tan especial para mi, y creó (y sigue creando) un impacto en mi vida, que mi hija se llama Emily por mi gran amiga, mi primera amiga en este país como inmigrante ❤️🇪🇨.#latina #spanishteacher #maestra ...
